Processing — status, timing, and what you get back
What the status chips mean, how long the breakdown takes, what arrives when it's done, and what to do when it fails.
Everything you have uploaded lives on the Film page, and each card updates itself every few seconds while work is in flight.
The status chips
- UPLOADING — bytes are still moving from your device.
- PAUSED — the uploading tab closed; pick the same file again to resume (how).
- QUEUED — waiting for a processing machine.
- PROCESSING — running. The card shows a live ladder of what is happening: finding the rallies, tracking players and the ball, reading jerseys, preparing your film.
- STORED — kept safe but not broken down yet, because the plan's allowance is used up. Press Break down now once a pass covers it — see plans and passes.
- STOPPED / CANCELLED — it did not finish; see below.
- No chip, with a Watch button — ready.
How long it takes
Roughly 0.8× the length of the footage — a two-hour match takes a bit over an hour and a half. The card shows a live estimate, and you do not need to keep the tab open once the upload itself is done. When it lands, everyone on the team gets a notification and the uploader gets an email (notifications).
What you get back
- The review player with every touch tagged — start here.
- A box score and advanced analytics — reading the numbers.
- Downloadable outputs (scout files, CSV, the touch log) on paid plans — exporting your data.
The Details drawer on each card shows the summary: touches, rallies, players.
When it fails
The card says what happened in plain words and usually offers Run again. Two failures name their own fix: a file that "was copied off the camera before the recording finished closing" needs re-exporting from the camera, and handheld or low-resolution film needs re-shooting — see how to record. Many stoppages retry themselves on a fresh machine automatically ("Nothing to do."); if a match still won't go through, a person on our side has already been alerted, and you can always reach us at hello@skyball.ai.
