Upload match or practice film

Uploading is one page: press Upload in the header (the + button) or go to /upload. Only owners and coaches can upload — players and family will see a note asking their coach instead.

The steps

1. On the upload page, drop your file on the zone that matches what it is: Match ("Full match: every touch by player and skill") or Practice ("Practice: players tracked without jerseys"). There is no toggle — the zone you drop on *is* the choice.
2. The upload starts immediately. While bytes move, fill in the two optional fields on the card: Label (e.g. the opponent — Skyball often pre-reads it from the filename) and Match date (pre-filled from the filename or the video's own metadata when possible).
3. If your program has more than one team, pick the Team — "this team's roster applies."
4. Stay in the app as long as you like — a banner tracks progress from any page. Just keep the tab open: closing or refreshing the tab pauses the upload.

What the video must be

• mp4 or mov, landscape, 1080p or higher, at least 24 frames per second.
• The whole match or practice, at least 15 minutes — Skyball needs continuous film, not highlights.
• A still camera. Handheld film is rejected with a message about camera movement — see how to record.

Skyball checks all of this before any bytes move, so a video that will not work fails in seconds, not after an hour of uploading.

A match recorded in several files

Tick "These files are one match, recorded in parts" before dropping, then drop every part on the same zone. Skyball lists them in filename order (that is how cameras number their splits) — reorder with the arrows if needed, then press Upload as one match. Up to 12 files can join into one match, and the 15-minute minimum applies to the parts added together.

Jersey numbers before it processes ("Sends in 4:32")

If your team's roster has fewer than six jersey numbers, a dialog offers a five-minute window to tap in your team's numbers while the file uploads — jersey numbers are how Skyball tells your players from the other side of the net. You can Save & send, Send without a roster, or just close it and let the countdown send the match anyway. More in build your roster.

If the upload gets interrupted

Nothing is lost. The match shows PAUSED on the Film page and the upload page grows an Unfinished uploads card — press Pick the file to finish and choose the *same* video file again. Skyball resumes where it stopped and never re-sends what already landed. Unfinished uploads are kept for 3 days.
