Roles and members
Owner, coach, player, family — who can do what, and the three ways to get people onto the team.
Every member of a team can watch all of the team's film and like clips — that is the baseline. Roles control actions on top of it:
- Owner — everything, including renaming the program and managing every role.
- Coach (shown as admin) — uploads film, edits the roster, adds and removes people, assigns identities, runs corrections.
- Player — watches, comments, likes, builds playlists.
- Family — watches and likes. Family cannot comment or add clips to playlists, and by default the comment thread itself is kept between players and coaches — though team staff can open it to family, read-only, from the Account page.
Roles never gate the numbers — what stats you can see is a plan question, covered in plans and passes.
Three ways in
- The invite link (easiest). On the Team page, dashboard, or Account page: Create invite link, drop it in the group chat. Everyone who joins arrives as family with their own email; a coach can promote them afterward. The link can be rotated (New link) or Revoked at any time.
- Per-jersey emails. Under each roster row, a coach adds the player's own email first, then family — one player email per jersey, unlimited family. Anyone added can sign in immediately.
- On the Account page. The full members surface: link accounts to roster players, change roles, remove people, and add coaches ("Add a coach" also lives on the Roster page).
Claiming your spot
A member who joined but isn't linked to a roster player yet sees "Are you on the roster?" on their dashboard — pick I'm a player or I'm family of a player, choose the name, done. Skyball accounts are for people 13 and older; for a younger player, a parent or guardian holds the account and links as family.
The Account page (your avatar, top right) is where roles change, people are removed, and coach seats are assigned.
